The flag carrier of Belgium, Brussels Airlines is the largest airline in the European country. Established in 2002, Brussels Airport serves as the main operating base of the airline. With 41 aircraft in its fleet, Belgium’s national airline flies to North America, Africa, and Europe. The airline connects Brussels with more than 85 destinations, including 17 in Sub-Saharan Africa. It is also one of the four network air carriers of the Lufthansa Group, a revered member of the Star Alliance, and boasts a diligent workforce of nearly 3,100 employees.

In its endeavor to become a sustainable air carrier, Brussels Airline aims to emit 50% less carbon dioxide by 2030 and also plans to be carbon neutral by 2050. In 2023, the airline welcomed three ultra-modern Airbus A320neos that will enable the air carrier to significantly lower its noise and CO2 emissions on its medium-distance flights. Furthermore, the airline strives to bring the world to Belgium as well as the best of Belgium to the world as a proud ambassador of the country.
